In this segment, criminologist and O.R. legend Alfred Blumstein of Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Business explains his research showing when employers may safely hire ex-offenders who have paid their debt to society. He presented his findings at the INFORMS 2011 annual meeting in Charlotte2011.
